My morning started like any other.. wake at 6...feed Tank...who seems to be waiting to be fed long before my feet hit the floor..down a yoghurt and set my workout to begin... 45 minutes later I shower and dress and quickly put together my lunch and head out by 8 am....the sun is shining but its still cool out so I pull on my favourite sweater... check... eyes on ( glasses) check, ..mp3 ..check, phone .check..keys.. check...im outta here....
The wind pushes my hair back away from my face and I begin to head down Queens Street.. watching the traffic scurry as the music in my ears gives me a pulse to walk to ....Walking...the one thing I have actually accomplished very well.... one earbud in --so I can still hear whats happening around me...I cut through the City Centre building ..past the sheepline of workers waiting to grab their Tim's fix and smile thinking a warm coffee would be great right now..yet I look at my watch and see that Im strapped for time... my bus gets to the corner of Wellington and King at 8:20 and its 8:14..step it up!!...I weave though the workers coming into the building and head out another revolving door to the opposite corner to my stop.... fly down the stairs and head toward the crossing..where Im stopped dead in my tracks not only by the lights that are clearly red ..but with the site of a young couple talking ahead of me.. then everything seems to go in slow motion... he glances down at her..she up at him.. the smiles ... the shared words..not audible to me but clearly encouraging.. I see her face smile.he grins.....his hand moves to the small of her back... draws her close...and with one smooth motion they kiss....... the light changes..I see the shape of the bus rounding the corner ahead and know I have to move...I glance at my watch..8:19... the longest 5 minutes Ive ever experienced...yet the thought stayed with me all day :)...and by the way..I still caught the bus on time (giggle)..
