where the hell are you????

Only a bit of turbulence on the plane.. it was great to be able to be distracted by movies on a flight like that.. I patiently wait as the plane drops in altitude to finally catch a glimpse from the plane.. the mountains.. omigod.. Ive never seen them like this before...they are breathtaking..The thin business man leans back into his chair  observing my wide eyed excitement and allows me to lean into his space a bit to see them... I lean back.. my stomach is swirling with excitement of what to expect when we land... the wheels touchdown and I feel like Im back in control again...now to baggage claim and find the rest of my party... the terminal seems really small compared to Toronto.. but quaint.. I cannot see anyone with  a sign-figuring that would be how they would gather us all ---but no... I head to a grey haired gentlemen who looks like hes able to direct people in the airport.."Im kind of looking for the rest of the people I work with that may or maynot have come on this flight"-he smiles knowing that Im anxious..."hmmm"..he replies..( still looking about)..I tell him that Im heading to New Westminister and he proceeds to let me know I will have to go either by Skytrain.. which I have no clue about using,... or by taxi... thats the ticket..and then he hands me a small card with 2 quarters on it and tells me to use the payphones and the call is on him... how cute... still no sign of anyone looking for me...so I walk out where the cabbies are all lined up and I get in.."I  must head  to the Inn on the Quay... thats where Im staying"..I tell the driver and then my cell phone rings in my pocket.. Its my team leader Kelly from home..telling me that my group are looking for me at the airport still and where am I ??...... I nervously laugh and inform her Im heading for the hotel... and I will meet them there.. and she informs me Carol will contact me.. and good luck lol..A few seconds later Carol is on my line telling me to just head to the office.. so I redirect the cabbie and $50 later.. Im infront of the office and ready to work..and of course the hotel will wait till later lol...nothing like scenic touring on the first day lol....
